Tagging different calves
The balance of the cows & calves were bought in today to tag the calves and treat homeopathically. The calves required very similar remedies to yesterdays lot - Grief and Car Sickness. We would just like to say here that all remedies do many different things. If you look deeply into the car sickness remedy you would find the specific reason for the calves needing this remedy. As stated before, we muscle test to choose remedies for a mob on any given day. Every time they come into the yard they will be treated, if anything is indicated. In this way we can maintain their good health without any drama.
The cows needed something quite different to yesterday. They had No. 1 Accident, No. 7 The Itch/Breathing (this remedy is also great for recovery from stress/serious illness), No. 9 Stings and No. 17 Bone Knit. So there you have it. They were the same cattle just split into two groups, two different paddocks and their requirements were different.
I think it is important to note here that is would only require one cow or calf to need something like the Bone Knit for it to be indicated in the mob muscle testing. It will not hurt if an animal gets a remedy that it doesn’t need and time is definitely a restriction when it comes to individual testing. You may do that with a small mob of stud cattle but not with a commercial herd.
If anything is very sick, I hold it in the yards for a few days and treat it individually, otherwise they are a mob and homeopathically, I treat them as such.
