Healing Minnie from Cushings Disease

Minnie continues to thrive and enjoys her walks and life in general. She had her yearly check up at the Vets last week and they are amazed and impressed with her general well being. Starting to show the first signs of cataracts’ but that’s ok. Everything about her is excellent, her teeth/gums are the equal to a two year old so I was told.

Here is the Initial Email we received from Minnie’s mum on 24 September 2009
Hi, I have your beginners kit and my little Bestie Friend Minnie, (aussie terrier who’s 10) has just been
diagnosed with cushings. Is there something I can do for her with the beginners kit. I’m not sure what to do for her its very early days and she is to under go a further test on Monday to make sure that’s what she’s got but so far all other tests are leading to cushings. Once confirmed I have a few options, one being medication for the rest of her life to help control/maintain the effects. I believe there is no cure. Can you suggest something that may help. I look forward to hearing from You.

Back in September I had my lovely little dog to the vet as I knew something wasn’t quite right. All examinations said that everything was normal. But a mother knows best and after some very extensive tests, the diagnoses confirmed that, yes, she had developed cushings.
I sent out an SOS to Cathy at Heal with Ease and the response was so fast it blew me away that she could help in a non evasive way, rather than heavy duty chemical drugs which would cost approx. $40.00 a week and not cure but just relieve some of the symptoms. Something I would seriously have had to consider as a high expense we would struggle to cope with.
