Our experience with Depression is that they are not all equal. Depression can be caused from a number of causes. The obvious one is emotional trauma – grief, sadness, loss, abuse, those sorts of emotional traumas will stay in the emotions for a long time, sometimes forever.

Let’s consider for a moment depression from a physical trauma. A person who has had a serious accident and is unable to manage things for themselves on a daily basis – they can’t work, can’t cook for themselves, care for themselves. All there future dreams are gone because they can’t even care for themselves day to day. Of course they would be depressed.

It’s possible to be in this state without the physical trauma. The stresses that can be laid on a body just through living is enough to cause this situation. Thinking about this – there is emotional stresses, mental stresses, bacterias, medication and chemicals that we are exposed to, sometimes on a daily basis. Sometimes these stresses become so great that our body doesn’t function properly. It won’t digest properly or expel waste properly. Some will struggle with breathing difficulties due to these stresses. Eventually we end up exactly like the person in the 2nd paragraph. We can’t work, we can’t cook for ourselves, day to day maintenance of our lives becomes impossible.

It’s easy to sympathise with someone who has physical trauma, you can see that. If the person with emotional trauma explains their problems we can sympathise with them too. But what about the people with depression from no one major trauma. Do we acknowledge their situation or simply tell them to ‘get over it’ or ‘get on with it’?

We have worked with people with all sorts of base causes for Depression. Not one is any more ‘Depression’ than the other. If you cannot function day to day or foresee being about to achieve your goals in the future, then now matter the original cause, you feel depressed.

You go to the doctor and he’ll give you anti-depressants. Numb the mind so you don’t feel so low but this doesn’t solve anything. It’s certainly not a long term solution.

Using the full range of energy remedies and our wonderful testing process, we can identify the stress factors – bacterias, medication, chemicals, viruses, etc, even the emotional stresses – grief, feelings of disappointment, etc and areas where they have affected the body organs and systems. It takes time and we do need to work gently through the layers but as these stress loads lift the mind clears and the body feels more physically able to cope with life.

I always make a point of saying that no body can go and go without down days. There will be days when you body just wants you to rest so you can get up the next day and go again. If we can work on getting balance in our lives and not expect ourselves to continuous ‘go’, we will set ourselves up for better results.

The body can only continually go for so long. Here is the brick, brick, bus analogy. If you are over doing it the Universe will throw a brick at you. A sign if you like to slow down. If you take time when the brick is thrown, you will get up a go quickly. If you ignore it, you get a second brick thrown at you, perhaps a little bigger brick so it hurts a little more. Rest now or you know what will be next. If you ignore the bigger brick and keep going, the Universe will run you down with a bus. Not a real bus (we hope) but a knock that lays you down for a period so you body can recoup.

If you are struggling with Depression and not coping with life, then we can help you. It’s a process and it doesn’t happen instantly. We don’t take you off your anti-depressants until you are ready but that is definitely the goal.

If you have a friend or family member struggling with Depression, have some compassion. Maybe even forward them this newsletter.

POST NATAL DEPRESSION

I wanted to share about Post Natal Depression. This is what started our family on our journey into natural medicine. Post Natal Depression is very similar to the above expect the stress factors are constant – lack of sleep and a baby that relies on you 24/7. Using the remedies we can lift other stresses off the body, allowing it to cope with these constant stress better. We can also support the bonding, feeding and sleeping sides of the equation.

Itchy Skin, Skin Conditions, Eczema, Psoriasis – natural healing

There are two things that clients are constantly asking us to help them with – Itchy skin and Depression. And when I thinking about it they both can have a similar underlying issue.

We believe and we have constantly healed the itch using this belief that, the itch is caused by an overload of toxins inside the body. The body will attempt to take the toxins through the bowel which is the easiest path for their release. But then this can often present as diarrhea which is not an acceptable release for most people. The result is a trip the doctor or the vet and medication to stop the diarrhea. This means the wonderful, natural release of the toxins is now backed up into the body. Hmmm. Well the second best way to release toxins for the safety of the body is through the skin. This takes them away from the major internal organs. When toxins are released through the skin they are acidic and due to the discomfort the brain will get the body to scratch the area to alleviate the itch. Once the skin is damaged, tiny mites will come and live in the skin and this will cause another reason to itch.

Somewhere along the process, we will get medication and or topical creams to soothe and suppress the skin irritation. Thus suppressing the toxin release in another way. Every time we use the medication the itch will subside and every time we stop medication treatment it will flair back up. Continual use of medication will cause internal damage, firstly from the toxic load of the medication and secondly from the original toxin load that hadn’t been allowed to release.

It really is a vicious cycle that many people take for years on end. What can we do to support the body to heal the itch cycle?

If we get to treat in early stages it is a quick process of detoxing the body and supporting the skin to heal. If we come in after a long period of chemical suppression, we have to work deeper with a series of healing plans. The healing plans identify where the suppression and chemicals have damaged the internal organs and functions and as they are the most important to heal they will be dealt with first. After we have healed these critical issues, we will then get to the underlying reason for the itch in the first place.

It’s not a quick process and can take up to 6 months to get an itchy body back to full health and clear the itch. But this is a complete healing, not a suppressive healing that returns the body back to good health at all levels. Click here to read more about how we can naturally clear depression.

Rosie’s owner Sue contacted us mid-December 2011 with the following email:

I’ve just been looking at your website regarding itchy dogs.

I have a rescue staffy, aged about 6. She is completely raw fed using the BARF method and also has flaxmeal, inner health powder, glucomine and glucosamine each day. Plus some Chinese Herbs from the vet. She doesn’t get bathed, has no fleas, no chemicals at all I.e flea treatment, heartworm etc.

Her coat gleams, she has no rash, raw patches or any other marks but scratches, rubs herself on the ground and chews her paws constantly.

I’m really interested in what you say about healing from the inside, when she starts an itchy episode, her eyes flair up, get quite red and she gets a slight discharge from them.

Kind Regards Sue C.

We suggested Sue send us a photo of Rosie so we could review her for run a series of healing plans on her to clear her itch. Here is what she said in response:

Thank you for your quick response! Not doubting you (well maybe a little ) but how can you work from a photo?

Rosie’s back legs were injured as a pup so both her back kneecaps are twisted (luxating patellas is I think what vets call it). She has been xrayed but because if her age there was no guarantee that being operated on wouldn’t make her worse. We manage this with lots of exercise on lead plus the glucosamine. However it does mean that she puts a lot of weight on her front legs so in a photo that may give you the wrong impression.

Anyway I’ll take a couple and send them to you. Sue.

This is a common response from our clients. We use the photo as a focus point when doing our muscle testing.

After initially reviewing Rosie we could determine that 3 plans would have her back on track with regard to her health.

Sue sent us this update on 4 May 2012:

I must tell you about Rosie, some time ago she did stop itching but I guess we’ve just been following the healing plans and it happened slowly so we didn’t really take it in. Maybe cos I haven’t seen her for a few days but last night I really noticed that:

Her coat is thick and shiny.
Her previously bald back legs are now hairy.
She isn’t itching
And most amazing of all, her back legs have got amazing strength in them. When we started this journey, she couldn’t easily stand on 3 legs, now she puts no more weight on her front than her back legs (remember I told you she’d had an accident when she was a pup?). She’s got nice muscles in her back legs and no longer looks too big in the front.

So a very happy outcome thank you Cathy!!

Sue

This is Renee’s account of her healing from Ross River Fever.

Eight days spent in bed, in agony not knowing what was wrong. I received my results to confirm I had Ross River Fever. There was nothing the doctor could prescribe apart from pain relief, even that was not cutting it. The pain was horrendous, I was unable to walk or even really move.

I was put on to Cathy by a friend of hers that had only just been telling us about her great work a couple of weeks previous. A phone call was made to Cathy, who went out of her way to make my case high priority, and had a 45 day plan sent out the next day. I began my course as soon as I had received it, and was told it was going to get worse before it got better, and it did. Attacking all of my joints one by one again.

I had been saving to travel and had flights all booked, the thought of not being able to go because of being sick, was really out of the question. Cathy advised me to rethink my plans after a week or so and see how I was feeling.

After just over a week of taking the homeopathy I was able to slowly move around and the pain was subsiding. Three weeks later I was starting slowly back at work.

It was almost unbelievable, going from bedridden to being back at work in that amount of time. Although I still get the odd flair up, only when I overdo it. I am amazed at what homeopathy has done for me.

I leave for Europe in two weeks now and have nearly finished my first plan and can honestly say I don’t think I would be well enough to travel yet if it had not been for this wonderful woman’s knowledge and homeopathy. I highly recommend Cathy and her fantastic work.

Thank-you Cathy

The following testimonial is about a 10 week old pup, Mika, that was very sick last Friday afternoon. The only way this result was achieved was because Karen had remedies on hand for us to work with in this emergency:

“We had our 10 week old puppy Mika for only a few days before she developed diarrhoea, which worsened quickly. We had a first purchase vet visit and mentioned it to the vet then who gave us a paste and said this would fix the problem. It didn’t and late-ish Friday night we noticed blood in her diarrhoea. I immediately contacted Cathy and (as usual) she was back to me within minutes. We started treating the puppy and within an hour she had stopped whining from stomach pain and pooing long enough to go to sleep. She only went to the toilet twice that night and each time it appeared better than the last. By the morning she was much better and has continued to improve to the point where a few days later she is tearing around the place like a whirlwind.

We were very anxious when we contacted Heal with Ease, knowing how quickly a puppy can deteriorate with severe diarrhoea. With Cathy’s immediate response, no fuss approach and a few remedies which I had on hand, Mika is still with us. No middle of the night expensive vet trips! I cannot thank Cathy and Eric enough for their help throughout the years since we have been using their remedies and healing plans. I HIGHLY recommend using their services, they are both wonderful people.”

I would like to introduce you to Promise short for Promise Me a Miracle. Promises’ journey to the earth has been a very long and involved tale full of grief, trauma and absolute joy.

The following is Allyson’s account of how Promise came to be.

Hi Cathy

Please forgive the lapse of time since I said I would send a precis of Cosi’s story and the amazing result of years of persistence…… It has been of course a hectic time and lots going on, not to mention the way time flies when you find yourself sitting in a paddock watching a foal play. I swear sometimes Ive been there for days on end at a time…. !!!

The beginning of my journey with Cosi started the day I rescued her, many many years ago now, and found that the two horses we had to take her away from were her own filly and colt, two horses she had never been parted from in their lives. The separation was due to her being shot through the neck and left to die in the bush, so of course not negotiable that we get her out of there for treatment. Her agony at that parting made me promise to her that day, in the back yard of a friend who had room for a horse, that I would one day give her a foal she would not have to part with, ever.
What a can of worms I opened!!!!!! From Central Australia to Queensland and back to WA we have travelled. During that time I started with normal breeding methods, then when they didn’t work we investigated reasons why and went a little left of centre in order to bring that foal into existence… Until I was told by very highly qualified equine breeding specialists that the scarring in her uterus was beyond repair, and she would never ever have the foal I had promised her.
Still, an animal psychic friend in the States told me that she dreamed of Cosi with her OWN foal, and so I had a little voice in my mind saying “don’t give up”…
We tried everything… Herbs and red light therapy and massage and everything in between…. Prayers and rain dances and speaking out loud to Epona… Years passed….

Then we found YOU.

I don’t remember how long ago it was Cathy that I first told you of her plight, perhaps it was Monti (Allyson’s German Shepherd) I first contacted you about. I still have Cosi’s Healing Plan in all its complicated glory – perhaps I should frame it!!!!!! I followed those instructions to the letter, after reading about homeopathy which at that time I knew absolutely nothing about. (Not that much has changed LOL)…..

December 2010, my beautiful girl slipped a foal, 7 months in utero, a beautiful black colt with a big white blaze just like his daddy…. but Phoenix, as I named him, was here for a very special reason. He made Cosi ready for the next stage of what you made possible, by ensuring the previously inhospitable uterine wall, resembling leather in the past, was now ready, waiting, warm and soft.
12 months is a long time when you are focussed on every single change in a mare’s body and mind… I almost went out of my own mind in the last few months as the time of Phoenix’s early birth came and went, but this little foal stayed put. The vets had a guesstimate of mid November, so once again I started going grey, and the Moet remained in the fridge untouched.

Thursday December 23rd at 3.45am, after a dose of accident remedy to stave off any excessive labour pain, my beautiful Cosi finally realised the promise I had made to her 8 years ago, and Promise came into this world, amidst a still summer’s evening, hardly a whisper from her mother, but lots of tears from me. I managed to come back to earth long enough to administer her remedy 13, retained placenta, just in case, but everything seemed perfect.

Her full name is “Promise Me A Miracle” and whilst she is still changing, it looks like she will be a Golden Buckskin… just what I had prayed for from a palomino mother and black as the ace of spades father. She is everything I ever dreamed of, and more, but nothing will ever surpass the sheer love and joy I felt when I saw Cosi nurture that foal for the first time. Cosi is the centre of my universe, no doubt about that, and without your help with her specific healing plan and continued backup, none of this would have happened.

Cathy, is it any wonder that I tell everyone about you, everyone who needs help, be it for themselves, or their beloved animals. Anyone who needs a miracle, when they have run out of hope. You have helped create a miracle, in a little paddock in Mundijong WA, that has helped heal the hearts of a beautiful mare and her eternally grateful and blissfully happy owner. I can never, ever, thank you enough from the bottom of my heart. Love Allyson

I wanted to share with you my experience with one of our farming clients, Scott Macansh who owns Deepwater Station in Deepwater, NSW.

It was in March 2011 that I received a call from Scott. After introductions, I asked him what I could do to help him. His answer, “I need you to stop my lambs from dying”. OKAY! This out of the blue. Could we do it?? What was wrong with his lambs?? Scott is a young, proactive farmer who was working with every expert available and he called us, out of sheer desperation to save his livelihood. At this point Scott had lost 500 lambs.

So, I got him to email me a photo of his sheep. Not the whole flock, just a good sample that were unwell. It took me 10 mins to determine the bacteria that was killing these lambs. It was Heliobacter. This bacteria breaks down the lining of the stomach. I quickly got back to Scott who was quite amazed that I could pick this up so fast.

The following morning Scott made the 6 hour round trip to pick up the energy version of the heliobacter bacteria. His words as he walked out our door, and I will never forget them were, “Even if I don’t believe in these remedies, will they still work”. We smiled at him and said ‘yes’.

He returned home and drenched the remedy into half of his lambs. He lost one or two that were very weak on the way through the yards but the rest immediately started to bounce. The balance were done the following day and the deaths stopped. Just like that.

The next step was to heal the internal damage caused by the bacteria and most importantly find out where the bacteria came from and see if we could stop it. A healing plan was created for Scott to run through the trough water for these lambs and a farm visit attended by Eric 5 days later.

What Eric found when he got there was a settling pond that fed from the town waste water. During the recent floods in January the settling pond had flooded over the paddocks around it and this is where the stock were picking up the bacteria. We found many other bacterias and chemicals in the settling pond when we tested it. Not tested as in standard water testing but muscle tested, like we did with the sheep.

All Scotts’ sheep healed beautifully. We worked on the ewes, the cattle and even the rams to bring them up to a better level of health. This has been ongoing as we work through the layers of current and inherited (cellular stored) issues but with every step his stock are looking better.

In September when the lambs above were shorn, their wool was white and bright and had grown perfectly since the lambs were healed. His ewes which we also treated, had bright, white wool with not imperfections – no dermatitis or any of the older existing issues.

In farming sometimes you get as many losses in a wet season as you do in a dry season. Scotts’ new lambs (September/October 2011), were nice and small, no lambing problems. Considering the good feed season Scott was expecting many birthing problems due to oversized lambs. In the area, there was a lot of loss of cattle with bloat and bloat related issues, but Scott had none of these problems. Scott has a Farmers Pack and has been trained in muscle testing to assist with remedy choices to improve the day to day running of his farm.

In July, we proposed to run healing plans on Scotts’ paddocks as a trial. He did the soil tests and we provided the remedies. The changes in the soil structure were quite remarkable after just two treatments (same remedies), so we are continuing on with our trials in this area and will update this post when we know more.

Atlas was diagnosed with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and heavy suppressive medication was prescribed. His owner Liz is a client of ours but didn’t immediately consider us for treating Atlas. Another client and friend of Liz’s suggested we were worth trying in this complicated issue with Atlas.

Here is Liz’s email after running Atlas’s first healing plan:

Atlas & I went for a walk today.

Walking since he was 6 months old has been on a black dog training halter & he is 4yrs on 6th November 2011.

A normal walk consisted of Atlas grabbing at the lead to take in his mouth at every street crossing or cars passing us, head on a constant swivel, sideways, backwards etc. grabbing grass mouthfuls as we walked, then coming home to stop him running is obsessive compulsive circles, jumping at a non existant spot on the ground & then running more circles, so I used to crate him for 1/2hr to calm him before he was allowed back in the yard.

Today was AMAZING.

Halter on him, but lead of 20cm from handle to tip of clip was on his FLAT COLLAR. After about 20 mins into a 45min walk, I took the halter off his head. Atlas only grabbed the lead ONCE at the beginning of the walk & made eye contact & let go of the lead, I did not even have time to signal him to let go, he did it on his own.

I have to say he was watchful, but not head on a FAST SWIVEL as was ‘normal’ before, there was NO fast swivel, yes he looked from side to side & every so often checked behind us.

At one stage I dropped the lead to put a poo bag in a bin & before that would have been enough for him to TAKE OFF running circles on me, but this time we KEPT eye contact & he just stood next to me & never moved —- YIPPPPPPEEEEEEE.

We walked in rain mizzle, no rain & it was just BEAUTIFUL.

He also used to grab mouthfuls of grass as we walked, this only happened twice & then only ONE blade of grass. I noticed he moved closer to me when cars came past us & was so CALM — cars have always been a ‘stresser’ for Atlas.

Treats on the walk, I still have FINGERS, he was GENTLE — that is a FIRST, I have always had a crocodile teeth cattle dog, but NOT TODAY —- MORE YIPPPPPEEEEEEES.

We came home & today I did the ‘unthinkable’, we went straight out into the yard, I unclipped the lead, & offered a treat, which was taken, he had a drink & picked up a toy to play, ate more treats, —— there was NO stress RUNNING, no CIRCLING, I had a CALM dog — again I have NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE.

WOW, I am amazed & pleased & so so super happy. I have a different, calmer, more snuggly cuddly, loving dog — thank you so very very much.

Rachel who’s horse Travolta we had treated for sarcoids was exposed to Ringworm at a polocrosse carnival. Here is the case study of this event.

On 14th June we got this message from Rachel:

Just a quick question re RINGWORM? Poor Travolta caught it from last polox outing i’m assuming cause he’s not been anywhere else! I’ll have to wash him in imaverol today as it has really spread.. Horrible stuff

It spread so badly over the past 3 days I am desperate to help him ASAP. The ringworms have spread thickly from his shoulder up his neck and down to knee. Many many lesions. raised bumps that are eventually losing hair in the centre. Now some on his flank. i am just worried that if i leave it any longer he will be covered in them.

I didn’t really want to use chemical but I must admit, the ‘old ways’ mentality snuck back in when i saw the ringworms pop up everywhere, just wanted them gone!!

I wish I had have contacted you earlier about this but I suppose I thought it would go away…. not so lucky!!! Fingers crossed he gets his act together and starts healing Don’t like seeing the ugly lesions on his not-so-long-ago ‘gleaming’ coat!!

This all happened at a very tricky time for us because we were moving house and the above emails came in during the day the removalists arrived. We stayed up late that night to do a review with half our healing stuff unpacked and posted off a plan with remedies for Travolta the following day.

Here is an update from Rachel on 5th July – 21 days later:

Trav’s ring worms have mostly cleared up however there looks like there may be a few newish ones in places. I had to clip him over the weekend as I had to start working him again this week so I got a better look of his coat. I’m hoping he doesnt get another spread of them again.

Then on 25th July:

I’ve sent a few pics for you of Trav’s ringworm, this was taken about 2 weeks ago so now the hair has grown back where the lesions were. There are two scabby circles on his shoulder and rump that could be the last of it. So all good I think

These are the photos of Travolta that Rachel took after the ringworm had cleared and started to heal. Unfortunately there are no photos of Travolta during the healing crisis.

When bacterias are caught while away from home like this, we can quickly identify the problem and any other health issue caused by the bacteria and provide remedies very quickly to release the health crisis.

Rachel has continued on with Travolta’s healing plans. He is a horse that plays hard for his owner and will cope much better and for longer with polocrosse because of constantly keeping his health – both emotional and physical in hand.
