Healing Minnie from Cushings Disease

Here is an update from Minnie’s owner received 5 May 2010

Minnie continues to thrive and enjoys her walks and life in general.  She had her yearly check up at the Vets last week and they are amazed and impressed with her general well being.  Starting to show the first signs of cataracts’ but that’s ok.  Everything about her is excellent, her teeth/gums are the equal to a two year old so I was told.

Karen, F.

We will work with Karen on Minnie’s cataracts next and update this page as we go along.

Read on to see what was happening with Minnie and her Cushings Disease before we healed her.

Here is the Initial Email we received from Minnie’s mum on 24 September 2009

Hi, I have your beginners kit and my little Bestie Friend Minnie, (aussie terrier who’s 10) has just beenphoto-of-minnie diagnosed with cushings.  Is there something I can do for her with the beginners kit.  I’m not sure what to do for her its very early days and she is to under go a further test on Monday to make sure that’s what she’s got but so far all other tests are leading to cushings.  Once confirmed I have a few options, one being medication for the rest of her life to help control/maintain the effects.  I believe there is no cure.  Can you suggest something that may help.  I look forward to hearing from You.

Regards
Karen

We recommended Karen take on one of our Personalised Healing Programs for Minnie and on 24 October she has emailed us the following testimonial:

Minnie, Australian Terrior age 10
Diagnose with cushings disease.

Back in September I had my lovely little dog to the vet as I knew something wasn’t quite right.  All examinations said that everything was normal.  But a mother knows best and after some very extensive tests, the diagnoses confirmed that, yes, she had developed cushings.

I sent out an SOS to Cathy at Heal with Ease and the response was so fast it blew me away that she could help in a non evasive way, rather than heavy duty chemical drugs which would cost approx. $40.00 a week and not cure but just relieve some of the symptoms.  Something I would seriously have had to consider as a high expense we would struggle to cope with.

Cathy kindly sent me a program for Minnie which I followed and within a couple of days I noticed a change, she was more active and seemed more interested in life.  Over the next couple of weeks the transformation was huge.  Her coat became softer and she came back to being leader of the pack on the walks.  I can only say I am hugely indebted to Cathy and her plan and highly recommend her healing plans for anyone and everyone.

Border Collie with serious skin problems

r-smartie-in-full-coat

Our Border collie girl who had a very difficult skin problem which cost us a lot of money with Dermatologists until we used the beginners kit with her. Following its use we were able to stop her personalised injections which we were importing from the USA and she is a different girl. We had desexed Smartie on the recommendation of the Dermatologist but if a similar situation arose again we would be trying Heal with Ease instead of the Vets. We had tried a Homeopathic Vet but she was not able to offer any relief other than sending us off to the Dermatologist.

Chachika with Tick Poisoning

Hello Cath & Eric, it’s Deb K. here. Just wanted to let you know I had great success with a recent episode of tick bite & used your No. 5 Bites & Stings drops plus Vit C. for my 8yr old female Hungarian Vizsla,  Chachi.

She had gone in the legs but her breathing was still OK & I administered the Ledum 6x in the first doses then every couple of hrs. I put it on the gums as her nose was staining! I gave her SAFE’s Super C ea. hr as well. She wasn’t bad enough to not eat, just very selective, so I gave her soft food in small amounts & frequently & kept the water up to her & she rested well.

This onset was last Thurs & she’s pretty much back to normal now, just a bit of muscle weakness in back legs.

Thanks so much for your product, I’m telling anyone who’ll listen.

Rottweiler with Hip Dysplasia

Here is a case study of Pepin, a beautiful young Rottweiler with Hip Dysplasia:

Back on 12 June 2009 Pepins owner wrote us:photo-of-pepin

I have a Rotty dog (nearly 9 months old) which has been diagnosed as having dysplasia in some degree in his joints. He has a very bad back leg and limps noticeably. He has been on pain relief and anti-inflammatory tabs off and on for about three months but eventually he goes off his food and so we take him off the tablets. He actually does not seem to be in that much pain though the vet says he would definately be. I was wondering if you could help me to manage any pain/inflammation he has with any of your products. My neighbour told me about you and I thought it would be better to help our poor boy with natural products if possible. I seem to hit a brick wall at the vets and am tired of trying new tabs and trying to get him to eat. He does seem to know when there is a foreign taste in his food and therefore does not eat it. I’ve taken him off everything now as I feel he is not getting any worse by not having the arthritic powder, Vitamin C, calcium, anti-inflammatories and pain killer – over kill!! I would be grateful for any help you can give me. It doesn’t seem to be covered in your web site but being a user of natural remedies myself I know they can work.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

We commenced treatment immediately this next update was three months later on 30 September 2009:
Pepin has been doing very well. He is walking/swimming for longer with no signs of tiredness or pain. And he is even running around like there is no tomorrow. He still has a limp which, from the look of his hip joint, cannot be corrected (the joint is deformed) and is slightly under muscled in his hind legs but I am amazed at how good he has been when the vet and breeder both said I would probably he putting him to sleep before he turned one year old. He had his birthday last week and I’m grateful I found you in time to give him a better and longer outlook. He still has his same old eating problems. Sometimes he eats everything, sometimes is selective, sometimes he feeds himself and sometimes I stuff the food down his neck but I know he wants to eat but there seems to be an underlying problem which tells him not to eat himself. Can’t explain it. But he is a good size and does eat enough. I don’t worry so much now. l think this is the way we’ll be for a long long time.

Next Update on 16th January 2010:

Happy New Year!! Just a quick email to tell you Pepin is doing well. He has been eating more food, and a better variety too, and has put on quite a bit of weight. Now I have to watch I don’t give him too much! His legs seem to be pretty strong and he happily runs around in the morning and evening to play with his toys or go for a walk and is constantly following me around the yard when I am out there. He does have his days when I know he is in a bit of pain but a couple of doses of the infection tonic and he seems to be back to his usual self. I also give him the tonic regularly. The days of destruction of hoses and plants also seems to have gone, fingers crossed.

Regards, Janet

Latest Update 7 November 2010:pepin-april-20101

Just thought I’d drop you a quick email to say Pepin has been really well. I have been working much longer hours since we got back from our holiday hence my lateness getting an email off to you. He sailed through his stay at the kennel though the kennel owner said she hand fed him the whole time. Once we got him home I just put his bowl out and he has eaten his food out of the bowl ever since. His diet is good and I no longer blend it down for him so all is good – a lot less time consuming.

Pepin had a small lump on his back recently too but with a few drops it came out and is now back to normal. Certainly beats any drugs the vet would give him! The only thing now, is now that he is feeling so well he is a bit boisterous and we will need to get him some training! Over zealous Rotties are bad news! But it’s nice to know he is having a better outlook in life than he had previously, thanks to you.

Healing Ebonee

Maree contacted us on 15 September with the following email:

I need your help ………..

beauiful-ebonee-040506_sml

I have an 11.5yr Flatcoated Retriever named ‘Ebonee’ who is my baby and the love of my life.

It all started back in January when a lump was discovered on her stomach which turned out to be a malignant ‘mammary gland cancer’.  This was removed during surgery and during her recovery after surgery, it was noticed her hair wasn’t growing back where they had shaved her for surgery.  After surgery and of course with her age, she also became more lethargic, started drinking more water, urinating more etc.  More and more tests determined she then had ‘Cushings Disease’ but to determine which gland was causing the Cushings Disease (to determine which treatment she would go on), she then underwent an ultrasound (where of course she had to be sedated).

So we went to Sydney for the routine ultrasound to determine which gland was causing her Cushings Disease, turned out to be the saddest day of my life.  I was informed she now had a small mass on her liver and she would need further major surgery.

Upon consulting with my vet who then consulted with a ‘Cushings Disease Specialist’ in WA, this specialist suggested the ‘Cushings Disease’ could be causing the ‘mass on the liver’ and so we went ahead and started treating her for the Cushings with 0.5ml of ‘Trilostane’ every morning.

We’ve had numerous blood and urine tests to check the right dosage of ‘Trilostane’ is correctly treating the Cushings and she started to pick up, less lethargic, hair started to grow back and started to generally get back to her old self (well close to anyway given her age).

But in the last few months, I noticed she started going downhill again, lethargic, gone off her food (not a good sign for a Retriever who was VERY food motivated).  Heaps of dandruff started appearing (she only used to get that in the show / obedience ring when she became stressed) and she’s loosing her hair in clumps.  I have another good vet who does Chiropractor / laser acupuncture work on all my 3 elderly dogs (to help with their arthritis).  He thoroughly checked her over including her heart.  Heart sounded fine however, her pulse was extremely slow to push out the blood to her body.  So now she’s not only on ‘Trilostane’ for Cushings but is also on 2.5mg ‘Vetmedin’ to help the heart.

Although we are trying everything to make her comfortable, my instincts tell me that the original mass on the liver is cancer and is causing all her symptoms (her littermate sister recently died of cancer) and most Flatcoated Retriever’s die of cancer.  So we went back to the Vet who did ‘blood liver enzymes’ test and sure enough, her liver enzymes are high which suggests cancer in the liver.  The only true way to diagnose this is to put her under again for more ultrasounds which I don’t want to do given her age and I don’t want to push her and cause her more stress.  My vet knows how I feel and is suggesting I put her on some type of ‘Hills Science Diet – Liver Diet’ to help the Liver.  She’s also suggesting I find some homoeopathy remedy to help as well.

Obviously, I don’t wish to go down the road of ultrasounds, chemotherapy, radiotherapy as she’s already nearly 12yrs old – Flatcoat’s average lifespan is 8-12yrs anyway and I want to make her as comfortable as possible with no stress to see out her final time.  She’s not in any pain that we can tell at this stage as she’s still wagging her tail and still wanting to go for walks (although they are slow).

Is there anything you can suggest or make up to just help the liver at this stage of her life ???

Looking forward to hearing back from you shortly.

Kind regards
Maree C., NSW

A healing plan was created for Ebonee from a photo Maree sent to us and was posted 22 September 09

Two days later Maree emailed the following:

Just letting you know Ebonee has started to pick up.  She’s eating little morsels of mince and seems to want more then comes back later for it.  She seems much better in herself as well.  I’m hoping and praying this will continue and we’ll get her eating properly again with more energy – YAH.

I also took her off all medications a couple of days ago once we started giving her Beginners Kit No. 3 Poison.  I’ve informed the Vet about taking her off all medications and she was fine with this.

I received your parcel yesterday at work so I commenced her on ‘Day 1’ of the plan last night.

On 28th September, just four days after the first remedy from the healing plan, Maree emailed us with:

I’ve finally got my girl back.  She’s now up keen for food in the kitchen when I’m cooking, I’m giving her treats which she nearly grabs out of the hands (she always did that being a retriever).  Her dandruff is gone and she’s bouncing around always keen for her walkies now.  AND when we do go for walkies, the ‘marsh flies’ aren’t bothering her now.   YAH !

I cannot thank you enough.  Keeping up with your remedies / plan and will keep you posted.

Marees’ healing plan for Ebonee still has 23 days to go, but already Maree can see a hugs difference.

As one homeopath said, there are many healing modalities around, but homeopathy is the sharpest tool in the box.  Homeopathy still amazes us to this day with the speed and completeness of healing.

Detox for our old and most loved dogs

‘Recently one of my border collies Kindu seemed very off-colour. He wasn’t eating well, had no energy, runny bowels, and appeared to have worms. I spoke with Cathy and she recommended that a detox program for both my dogs may be in order.

I followed Cathy’s instructions on Kindu and Nenti (aged 13 & 15 years respectively) and treated them as she suggested for 5 days. Within 2 days, both dogs were doing really well. Kindu was looking much better, he was running around the swimming pool like his usual self. And Nenti, who’s 15, seemed much more alert. I was so happy with the results from these treatments and would highly recommend using homeopathics for your pets. I have always been very happy to be able to treat myself and my kids homeopathically, and am now thrilled to  be able to do it for my animals as well.

Thank you so much Cathy for your advice, assistance, and your caring.’

Sugar loves Coco palm seeds – unfortunately they are poisonous

Sugar, one of my kelpies, is very addicted to the cocos palm seeds dropped in our yard by fruitbats.

Just recently, as soon as I noticed her bringing up the telltale orange coloured liquid, I gave her a dose of the poisoning remedy.  I then gave her the sudden illness remedy and this resulted in the ingested seeds being brought up. This stage was quite distressing for me to watch but I remembered what Eric and Cathy said about looking for improvement in an animal’s mental state while they went through the worsening stage.  One of the good signs for me was that my dog kept drinking fresh water.  The last time this had happened (before I started using the Heal With Ease kits),  it was an expensive stay at the vets’ for my dog while they re-hydrated her and eased her pain via a drip.

With some follow up remedy advice from Cathy, I was amazed at how quickly Sugar recovered.  No expensive trip to the vet!

I’ve been using the Heal With Ease remedies on my pets ever since Eric and Cathy released their great product to the general public, for all sorts of situations – aid recovery/incontinence after surgery, mange treatment, behavioural problems, hot weather/storm distress, eye problems and lameness to name but a few.

My pets (dogs young and old and a cat) are also treated regularly with the HWE Tonic with the result that I rarely have to wash them and their coats are all in great condition.  Maggi, my 16 year old fox terrier has the softest, shiniest coat and no ‘old dog’ smells.

Thank you Eric and Cathy, for sharing your great product with us and providing such an excellent backup service.

Phoenixs’ skin needed healing

I attended a Pet Expo over a year ago and when I heard that there was a stand there that had Homeopathy for animals I couldn’t get over quick enough to see Eric and Cathy.  Some time later I had my new arrival my adorable 8 week old chocolate labrador pup ‘Phoenix’.  I purchased my basic homeopathy kit and began this great journey to maintain and keep her healthy in every way possible.

Then, 3 months ago Phoenix started breaking out in sores over her body with hair coming out on her legs and a rash over her tummy, thank goodness it wasn’t itchy as well.  Phone calls and photos to Cathy ensued and with purchasing the Extension Kit thus began our treatment journey.  What was it that caused it, some toxin, but what one?  Three possibilities: Was it the mosquitos the one evening she was outside till 7pm; Was it the monthly worming tablet; or the Citronella I had put in the water to wash the floors with?  It didn’t matter, lets just get her well.

Cathy said, it could take some time.  Over the first 2 months everything escalated as we were pushing the toxins out and then healing.  Another month on and and she has a few new small sores, with little hair loss and no rash.  We’re getting ahead of it.

I have also used the remedies for anything that has come up along the way.  The sudden coughing fit at 2am, using the remedy and the coughing ceasing immediately.  The emergency phone call one evening to Cathy as Phoe was very unwell and with fever.  Cathy’s heartfelt care and compassion in getting my girl treated immediately with phone calls and treatment regime back and forth for the next few hours.

I am learning to expand the use of my kits with Cathy’s encouragement and acknowledgement in my ability.  I would like to say thank you to both Cathy and Eric for their loving care and generosity of spirit in helping me to help my beloved girl Phoenix.

Miniature Bull Terriers with Itchy Skin

Hi, I have been breeding Miniature Bull Terriers for 9 years under the prefix Warriorbull.
We focus on health in our dogs, and feed an all raw diet. We still had the odd health problems, and itchy skin and flea problems. I came across Cathys web site and it is wonderful. My girl no longer itches madly from fleas,we first detoxed her and then used the Tonic. A huge difference.
We have also had her absorb pups  and giving her Bonding remedy has settled her noticably, I wish I had known about Cathy with my other girls!
Knowing there is a more gentle and natural way of helping healing with drugs and chemicals.
Cathy is a great help and I highly recommend the Remedies.
Thanks, Liz

After birth problems

An update on Jorja the beautiful Border Collie of Lisa’s.  On 8 October Jorja gave birth to another litter of 8 puppies.  The mating, pregnancy, birth and post birth all happened without any issues.  This is usually the case after treating birthing issues with the homeopathic remedies.  The remedies allow the problems to resolve and leave the body allowing the female to reproduce without any issue.  If Jorja had to have a vet procedure it is unlikely that Lisa would have had this litter without more problems.

Below is a lovely photo of Jorja and her pups.

jorja-and-her-pups

Lisa contacted us on 21 March 2009 with the following concerns:

My problem is I don’t think Jorja is producing enough milk as they (the pups) don’t feed for very long before they are all trying to swap nipples looking for more and there just isn’t any.   I know my other bitch Nyx looked like she had firm grapefruits down there, whereas Jorjas hang but are quite floppy.

So I was wondering if you know of any homepathic remedies that would assist a bitch produce more milk.  After doing a google on the subject, couldn’t find much apart from some suggestions for her diet so I have just started adding lots of high fat foods to her diet (full cream milk, cottage cheese) as well as eggs and chicken necks/wings she was already on, giving her puppy biccies but she isn’t too keen on them but eats performance biccies.    The puppies seem a little bit more settled this evening and they are still putting on weight, but I’m still worried its not enough weight gain.  She has been tending to feed them quite a lot which I don’t think is helping with milk production if she is low as she isn’t really filling back up so she wakes them for a feed and they stay hungry.   I am trying to supplement them on the bottle but that is a challenge in itself.  The littlest is the best on this.    My other option is to find a vet to show me how to tube feed as a few breeders I have spoken to said this was better than bottle feeding as you know the food is getting to them and they have known breeders to lose puppies who are being bottle fed and showing a weight gain.  Obviously as this is my first litter, already nervous enough for their welfare.

Any advice would be appreciated.

We got back to Lisa immediately advising that in our breeding of working dogs and in the experience of our clients, her Jorja was probably not fully cleaned out after the birth.  We had remedies that would help Jorja to clean our her uterus and bring her milk down.  This would take any infection out of her body as well.

Lisa came in a hurry to collect her remedies and this was her email two days later:

Gave her the stuff Sunday arvo and evening.  She did have a bit of blood and gunk in her discharge and faeces immediately after, so she probably did have some stuff left inside her.  She seemed a bit better later that on but I was a bit worried about her in the early hours of the morning as she

She was still panting heavily and she didn’t look the best.  So I gave her another 2 treatments of the no 2 bottle as I read you could give up to 6 in 24 hours.  Her milk still wasn’t good so had another night of hungry puppies, even despite my taking them to the vet Sunday evening for a tube feeding as she basically had nothing to give them and they were screaming and no matter how hard I tried could not get them to bottle feed.

Anyway yesterday morning, she was keen to eat so just kept feeding her as much as she wanted to eat and then took her and the pups to another breeders for the day so she could keep an eye on them all as I had to work, but she said they were good all day, and fed regularly plus it feels like there is more milk in there not just saggy boobs.  She also had a big dinner last night (chuck steak, chicken necks, meat offcuts)  and is also noticeably drinking more water again.  So overnight was the real test and the puppies were much better and I woke at 4.00am to find them happily feeding off her so she must have had milk so there was no screaming and I was able to get some sleep.  She happily feed them a few times while I was getting ready for work and again was keen to have her breaky and fluids and get back in and feed them so they were all fed and contented when I left for work.  My neighbour Kerry was going over at lunch today to check on them all and also to see if Jorja wanted to eat anything and to also give her some more puppy milk formula as she is keen on this stuff and apparently she woofed it all down.  She is only a small bitch anyway, so I know next time she has a litter what to do and make sure she keeps her food and fluids up after the puppies are born as it definately has had a big impact on her milk production.  She still has a slight discharge, but its not as thick and yukky as it was but rather just watery blood and have checked to make sure there was no smell.

The Breeders pack that Lisa purchased to achieve this healing with Jorja was $500, the value of only one of her well bred pups.  Lisa will have her kit for many years and many litters to come.  The bonus with the Breeders pack is that Lisa will be able to pick up six additional remedies at no cost over the next twelve months.  They will be determined on what she needs as new situations come up.

In her kit she has remedies that will help her quietly wean the pups without any upset to mum or the babies.  Also a remedy if unlike Jorja her next litter mum doesn’t want to mother up with the pups.  There is also a remedy for Mastitis, Grief and a Bone knit remedy for healing bone fractures.

Amazing value and Lisa is more than happy with the outcome.

To find out more, drop us an email at healwithease@bigpond.com and we will happily advise how we can assist you with your breeding issues.
