Natural treatment for buffalo flies on horses and cattle

Here at Heal at Ease we are farmers as well as dog breeders.  We are constantly using our remedies to treat problems that arise with our horses and cattle.

One problem we found when we moved to south-east Queensland is Buffalo Fly.  The chemicals they use to keep them off are horrific.  When faced with this problem, we had to find a homeopathic solution.  We usually do.  What we ended up doing was to bring all the cattle into the yards on one water trough and drop the Bites and Stings remedy from the Beginners Kit in the water of the trough.

We left the cattle in there for the day and at the end of the day the fly had left the animals.  Three weeks later they were just starting to return so we repeated the treatment.  It is safe, easy and great for organic farmers as there is no poison, chemical or anything like that.

My baby goats aren’t growing!!

If your baby animals aren’t growing or failing to thrive after weaning, then keep reading.

This is common that baby animals stop growing for a period after weaning.  It requires special attention to their diet, of course and drenching to ensure there are no parasites.  However, we recommend you go further than that and consider the emotional stress on your babies of what has just occurred.  They have been weaned off their mother and not only that they would have been taken away from her to ensure that they stay weaned.  There is a huge grief process happening right now.  Emotional pain very often transfers to physical problems, like failure to thrive.

We always recommend our breeding clients give all the babies and the mothers the grief remedy upon weaning.  This allows the animals to let go without stress.

Naturally healing horse colic

Failure to thrive – foals

A client of ours brought a foal up from Victoria to Queensland.  It was quite poor when it arrived and continued to decline in health from there.  We advised to start with the Accident remedy from the Beginners Kit to take any shock out of the animals system.

Being born in the drought the foal had had a hard start to life, possibly an early or upset weaning.  We then recommended that the foal be given the Grief remedy from the Breeders Kit.  The foal proceeded to pass a disgusting and smelly bowel motion.  From there the foal has never looked back, growing and thriving and now looks amazing.

When this foal was sent up she was sent up with a truckload of similar foals from the same area.  Our client recently caught up with one of those foals.  It is still failing to thrive.

Natural Healing for all Animals

Treatment of Arthritis in Animals

Arthritis is the inflammation of the joints. Local signs at the joint include swelling, pain on palpation, deformation, pain on movement of joint, fluid, skin changes, etc.  The lameness varies in its symptoms and this variation is especially important.

From here we need to observe – is the lameness better or worse for movement? Better or worse for cold/heat?  Is it worse at the end of a rest after a long period of exercise?  Does the lameness seem to bother the animal badly or is it just a nuisance?  Is it a result of an injury?  Is the joint hot, indicating an infection?

Each case will vary in the answers to the above and therefore indicate different remedies that are required.

Weaning baby animals

Weaning of babies can be quite a traumatic event for both mother and babies.  Weaning babies too young is not a good idea, however, no matter at what age they are weaned we always recommend giving both mum and babies the Grief remedy to allow them to separate without trauma.

Some of our clients come to us with unusual issues for example a young animal that is failing to thrive, aggression issues, separation anxiety from their owner.  We have used the Grief remedy in many cases like this with horses, dogs and cats to achieve a wonderful outcome.

Animal Poisoning Treatment Case Study

Many animals become poisoned for many different reasons. Actually we are finding the same applies to many humans. The result being severe and ongoing gastric problems – vomiting, nausea and severe diarrhoea. Our answer to this is always start with the ‘Poison’ remedy. One or two doses from this remedy that is in the Beginners Kit and this problem is out the door.

Our dog Rose, who is a food hound, decided one day to eat a toad (dead, of course). When we next went to check she was vomiting and had green, runny, revolting bowel motions. We could only guess at what she had eaten and acted quickly treating her with the poison remedy. One more motion and she was right as rain. This remedy is also good for food poisoning, consuming of dirty water, anything that results in those horrific gastric symptoms.

The Itch Case Study

We have a specific Itch Kit. We have many clients come to us with Itch problems with their animals. Dogs get hot spots or general body itches, horses always have the itch, Queensland itch. Whatever the itch, vets don’t have any answers. To keep these animals comfortable they go on an expensive, never ending cycle of drugs. The drugs can’t heal they only mask the problem and shorten the animals life.

With our Itch Kit, which has been well tested by our clients, we start with a remedy to expel any mites or the like that may be annoying the skin, either causing the itch or preventing it from healing. We then check our results and follow with 1 or more other remedies to effect a total healing action.
