My baby goats aren’t growing!!

If your baby animals aren’t growing or failing to thrive after weaning, then keep reading.

This is common that baby animals stop growing for a period after weaning.  It requires special attention to their diet, of course and drenching to ensure there are no parasites.  However, we recommend you go further than that and consider the emotional stress on your babies of what has just occurred.  They have been weaned off their mother and not only that they would have been taken away from her to ensure that they stay weaned.  There is a huge grief process happening right now.  Emotional pain very often transfers to physical problems, like failure to thrive.

We always recommend our breeding clients give all the babies and the mothers the grief remedy upon weaning.  This allows the animals to let go without stress.

Dogs scared of Fireworks and Storms

This is a terrible time for animals.  The surprise sound of fireworks sounds like gunfire and it is loud and goes on and on.

We recently had one of our prize working dogs break his chain and run off during a fireworks event.  We saw which way he went and took of immediately to block him and did find him running around disoriented and scared.

As this was they day before the Australian Yard Dog Championships in which he was representing Queensland, it really wasn’t good.  We immediately gave him the Accident remedy from our Beginners Kit to take the shock out of his system.  It settled him and allowed him to rest.

We have a product called “Stress Relief” which does help when storms are coming and will calm them to some degree during fireworks.  The best thing we find is to put them in a safe, secure environment during the event – either storm or fireworks and then treat them with the Accident remedy immediately afterwards.

Homeopathic treatment of stock animals

Many times we have treated large mobs for different ailments, like scourers (or diarrhea) from eating rich green feed.  Sometimes we would bring the mob into the yards and lock them on the water for a few hours and at other times when they watered from one trough in the paddock we would drop the remedy into the trough and leave them to it.  It is amazing to see mobs of up to 2000 sheep healed overnight by a few drops in the water.

Failure to thrive – foals

A client of ours brought a foal up from Victoria to Queensland.  It was quite poor when it arrived and continued to decline in health from there.  We advised to start with the Accident remedy from the Beginners Kit to take any shock out of the animals system.

Being born in the drought the foal had had a hard start to life, possibly an early or upset weaning.  We then recommended that the foal be given the Grief remedy from the Breeders Kit.  The foal proceeded to pass a disgusting and smelly bowel motion.  From there the foal has never looked back, growing and thriving and now looks amazing.

Weaning baby animals

Weaning of babies can be quite a traumatic event for both mother and babies.  Weaning babies too young is not a good idea, however, no matter at what age they are weaned we always recommend giving both mum and babies the Grief remedy to allow them to separate without trauma.

Some of our clients come to us with unusual issues for example a young animal that is failing to thrive, aggression issues, separation anxiety from their owner.  We have used the Grief remedy in many cases like this with horses, dogs and cats to achieve a wonderful outcome.

Dog Run Over Case Study

Our old dog Mack has a very bad habit of lying under cars. We drive diesel 4wds and therefore he has time to move before we move the vehicles. Our neighbour drives a beautiful sports car. He was under this car one day when she jumped in and took off. He was half way out when she hit him.

He was very bruised and in shock. He had no broken bones, luckily enough. We immediately gave him the Accident remedy from the Beginners Kit and he was a little better. Shock gone. We gave him a course of this remedy over the next day and he was fine again in no time.

Animal Poisoning Treatment Case Study

Many animals become poisoned for many different reasons. Actually we are finding the same applies to many humans. The result being severe and ongoing gastric problems – vomiting, nausea and severe diarrhoea. Our answer to this is always start with the ‘Poison’ remedy. Retained Placenta Case Study

Living on a farm provides many opportunities for using our remedies, we have used them for treating the scourers on a mob of sheep that had been on rich food. The remedy went into the trough and treated each sheep as it came to get a drink. We also treated a mob of sheep with foot abscess by putting the remedy into a drench pack and drenching them with it. This was very successful. Abscesses are quickly brought to a head, allowed to weep and heal.

We have a wonderful remedy for treating pink eye in cattle. All this being amazing as it was, the most amazing thing we have ever seen is when a cow had a difficult birth that resulted in a retained placenta. Three men had been working on her all afternoon, when Eric remembered that we had a homoeopathic remedy for this exact problem. He rushed home and grabbed the remedy. We all went to watch – what would happen?

The remedy was dispensed on her nose and the minute it hit her blood stream the placenta fell out the back. It was very impressive to see.
