Cat with cramps

Sue contacted us on 29 January 2011 with quite a number of issues – mainly for her horses but there was one question that related to her aged cat, Aimee:

My Birman cat, Amie, is 16yo and she has started occassionally cramping in her front legs, so much so sometimes that when she cramps in both legs at once she kind of lifts herself up at the front and ends up falling over.  If I massage her neck & hold her under the chin at the same time during one of these cramping episodes she usually gets out of the cramp within a minute or two.
amie

10 February 2011 – Amie, my 16yo Birman cat, well she’s nearly back to kitten stage again……no more cramping in her front legs since I started her on the Arthritis Remedy.  I started her on 4 times a day and I now give it to her twice a day which I will continue to do – Thank You, Thank You :-) ))))))))))))))))

19 February 2011 Amie – unbelievable, she has not had one cramp in 2 weeks, it really is a miracle remedy.  The way she is, I think (& hope) she’s going to live for another 16 years.

18 March 2011 – Amie has now been on your ‘Arthritis Remedy’ for just over 2 months and has been totally cramp free for over 6 weeks. I reduced her to one dose daily 2 weeks ago but will keep an eye on her as the weather gets cooler towards winter – simply amazing :) ) To think all the time & money I have spent on vets with no success, she was actually getting worse until your remedy.

A week or so ago I saw your article on a chinese crested dog that had severe conjunctivitis; Amie has had a discharge from her L eye since she was hit by a car over 10 years ago & the vets told me that it was a form of Herpes & to buy the cold sore cream Zovirax & put that in her eye, which of course I have done religiously for the last 10 years until I read your article and thought I’d give it a go as I had nothing to lose by trying………low & behold it has worked, no more discharge – another ‘Heal With Ease’ MIRACLE :) )

Horse with Dislocated Shoulder

Hi Cathy

I just wanted to thank you, I dont know what I would do now without my first aid kit….

Mac, my big 17.2 hand thoroughbred received a nasty kick from my other boy last night. He dislocated his shoulder, very very badly. It was such an ugly horrible thing to see, … my precious Mac in so much terrible pain. I dont know how I managed to stay upright when I found him like that, but nonetheless, bolted home and collected everything I could think of….
I had very little Accident remedy left so just poured what was left in the vial into the syringe.  A couple of hours later I gave him some sports remedy for his muscular pain.  He looked terrible, muscles pushed into places they shouldnt be, his scapula at an absurd angle, and he couldnt move.

macs-shoulder-photo
I sent the pic to the vet in Esperance (normally a 4 hour drive from here, but with an injured horse, double that) and I had an appointment booked for 8.30am tomorrow…  It seemed that he had broken his scapula, hence the angle of his shoulder, and the possibility that I may have to send him to heaven was very real.  He has been locked in a small yard all day until I knew whether it was best to encourage him to move or encourage him to rest…

I spent most of the day in tears, especially when I heard from his old owner. She told me that she wasnt worried, that Mac had more love to give, that she was happy when I showed up to meet him as she sensed a connetion between us, and that our story was not over. Great. More tears.

I got to the horse block tonight in high winds and with the horse float on the back. My mare took off (its all about her lol – she hates the float!!!) and as I watched she bolt past Mac’s yard which made him break into a TROT! He continued just running around in his yard looking for all the world like nothing was wrong.
He overdid it a little and got a bit stiff and sore, but nothing that caused me concern.

WAHOOOOOO!

mac
I dont know if it was the remedies or if he would have popped his shoulder back by himself or not, but I tell you what, when faced with the early death of a beautiful boy like that, I dont care….  I am so relieved I am exhausted……

So thanks.. from the bottom of my heart. I still dont really understand how it all works, but Im loving it….. My beloved Mac is still with me….

Healing a sick lamb called Ray

This testimonial is from one of our existing clients who took it into her heart to care for this dear little lamb called Ray.  When someone is so passionate about saving a little animal like Ray we are there for them and pray that a good outcome is achieved.  In every occasion like this we gain learnings – whether that miracles are possible, that others are compassionate to your plight, maybe even that not all animals can be saved, maybe something else.

This is about Ray the Lamb from Narelle F., Nth NSW.

Towards the end of September one of our Suffolk sheep delivered what seemed to be a healthy lamb and the mother was left to “do her thing” with the licking/bonding and getting lamb on its feet. An hour later it was discovered the lamb had extreme breathing problems. We consulted a vet who assured us the problem was not pneumonia, but gave us preventative medication. At times Lamb’s breathing was improved, but within five minutes he would be heaving from his poor little flanks to his open mouth.

I consulted Cathy re possible homeopathy treatment that she could recommend, knowing that the symptoms I described were obscure. Cathy showed genuine empathy and concern for the little lamb, but also for my own emotional turmoil in attempting to help the lamb breathe. Cathy instructed me on which of my homeopathy remedies to use and was happy for me to consult with her morning and night on progress being made. After seven days good progress had been made – though there were still relapses. At fourteen days Lamb was putting on weight and relapses were small. By twenty days I was able to tell Cathy that Lamb was completely well and was “leader of the gang” of other lambs.

I was not only impressed with Cathy’s professionalism and skill as a homeopath, but just as much, the genuine heart-warming feeling she demonstrated in assisting me to care for the lamb to a rewarding outcome. Cathy had no hesitation in interrupting her busy life to help. Ray Lamb (three months old) is pictured with his mother.

Anxiety in Horses

This Case study and following testimonial relate to a mare that had 4 months earlier lost twin foals due to complications.

Her owner emailed this email on 28 January 2011

Meg is a 14yo 16.1hh stunning Appaloosa that I have owned for 6 years.  I had shown her for several years and 9 times out of 10 she’d bring the blue ribbon & a purple sash home, I haven’t shown her now for about 2 years.
She has had 2 stunning foals and last year she was to have her 3rd but in early September she slipped twins with only 9 weeks to go.  One was a fully formed buckskin colt with an appy blanket & the 2nd was mummified at approx 5.5 months into the pregnancy.  We didn’t know she was having twins as it didn’t show on the scan but at around 5.5 months she bagged right up and started dripping milk (which she did for 4 days), the vet gave me an injection to give to her to stop her from foaling plus an oral antibiotic powder to be given to her in her daily feed & she was to be given Regumate daily until 2 weeks before her due date.  When she slipped the twins she went into what I would call a state of depression.
The season after what was her foaling season we tried to put her onto the float but she totally & utterly refused & locked her legs, there was no way she was going to get on that float.  We even tried 2 friends floats but no way was she getting on them either.  This happened for the next 2 seasons, so needless to say she in not in foal now – you probably think I’m silly but I reckon she just didn’t want to leave her babies (which are buried near her paddock & she watched me at the time).
This is a mare that would self load and was used to teach youngsters about float loading & travel with them to comfort them & who was regularly taken to shows either on her own in the float or with another horse.
Also now she can’t stand the farrier putting shoes on her & she tries every trick in the book to avoid it, pulls back etc & she even sometimes rears, we generally have to twitch her (lucky he’s a patient man & really likes the mare).
We tried loading her on a float again 2 weeks ago but she still absolutely totally refuses to get on.  She even lets our 7yo appy gelding boss her around and chase her :(
All of this out of character behaviour has only happened in the last 5 months since loosing the twins.
Apart from the issues above she’s fine to do anything with, even go out for a trail ride on her own or in company.
So would recommend your ‘Stress Relief’ for her or something else ??

sue-sharpe-megs

We recommended the Grief remedy as we have seen similar depression and anxiousness in other mares that have miscarried or lost foals.  On 9 February, 12 days later Meg’s owner sent the following email:

Well I have been totally & utterly amazed in the change of my 14yo Appaloosa mare who lost twins last September, she no longer is depressed & is once again waiting at the gate for her feeds & whinnying out to me whenever she sees me…….Your ‘Grief Remedy’ has been a miracle & I still can’t get over that I only had to give her one dose.  Next week I will see if she’s more willing to get back on a float and leave her twins grave, I truly believe she will :-) )))))))))))))

Obviously Meg’s owner is over the moon that one dose of one remedy can achieve such an amazing healing results.  We see this all the time.  The power of energy remedies has been undervalued for so long.  Now is the time to start healing yourself and your animals naturally.  The wonderful side effect of this is that energy remedies are very cost effective and we can all use some of that in our lives.

Psoriasis, Dermatitis, unhealth skin – easy healing treatment

If you are struggling with any of the above conditions then it is most likely your body is overloaded with toxins.  A good thorough detox will help you to heal this unsightly and uncomfortable condition.

Gerry asked me about his hands (photo below) three weeks ago.  As it was something I had never dealt with before, I suggested that a good detox is a good place to start.  He had had this issue for years and it was affecting his feet as well.  Great big gaping cracks in his heels was making life very uncomfortable.

gerry-before

I had seen something similar on dogs and had treated as I would itchy skin, with great results.

Three weeks later he was proudly showing me his clear hands and crackless feet.  An awesome result from a simple deep cleansing of the body.

gerry-after

The healing action of the body is from the inside to the outside and from the middle to the limbs, so what Gerry’s body was cleansing through his limbs but because he was trying to get rid of the problem with chemical treatments and topical creams he was putting up a barrier for the release. All we did with the Detox remedy was support his body’s natural healing action. Simple – Heal with Ease.

Healing movement issues in horses

Following is a testimonial from Sandy H., Toogoolawa, Qld  about her horse Earl that was struggling to move freely and was lacking energy and enthusiasm:

I have been using Heal with Ease remedies for about 10 months now for various problems with my horses. The remedies are easy to use, are effective and Cathy gives me great back up support.

Recently I contacted Cathy regarding my 3 yr old thoroughbred, Earl, who has only been broken in for a few months. Earl was very unenergetic when being ridden and had developed a jerky movement in one of his hind legs. Every now and then he would drag the leg and would have trouble backing up. Cathy suggested we put him on a healing plan which I agreed to.

earlEarl has just finished the first 6 weeks of the plan and I have seen some very good results. At one stage he did seem to get much worse and for a couple of days he seemed to be dragging the leg most of the time and then it started to improve. He can step over much better and only has a very small catch in the leg. Earl just seems to be so much happier in himself as well. I have had a couple of really nice rides on him where he felt so much better and cantered with some energy but not silly. He seems to be playing more often with my other 3 yr old and for longer and more energetic. Earl has always been a sweet natured horse even when he was a foal but now he seems to be more aware of me and happier to be with me. I’m sure that the healing plan has helped Earl deal with some emotional problems as well as the obvious physical one.

I was a bit upset when Earl got so much worse. Cathy answered my questions and explained that during the course of remedies that as the body was healing things could get worse. She is very supportive and patient and I thank her for all her help not just with Earl but with my other horses also.

Natural solutions for helping our pets as they age

We are often asked what people can do to help with mobility and health in their older animals.  Chemical medicines may appear to keep our friends in good health but what are they doing on the inside.

Did you know that the average life span for a dog used to be 18-20 years?  With all our wonderful new ‘medicines’ we have managed to reduce our dogs life span to around 11 years of age.

All the chemical treatments that we put in our animals bodies from the time they are born is amazing – vaccinations, parasite treatments, antibiotics and it goes on.  Together with all the toxins they are exposed to in day to day life it is no wonder they are unwell.

There has been a huge rise in the numbers of Cushings Disease cases in the last few years.  It really is only seen in older dogs – from about 7 years of age.  We believe that it is at this point that the body becomes so overloaded with toxins that it just can’t manage with day to day living.  Now you might look at that and say okay, well lets just detox the body and the symptoms will go.  This is true of the toxins but it is the damage to the body from the years of toxins that really needs to be dealt with.  A more natural life is a good start.  In fact this would do us all good.  Treat signs of illness and ill health naturally, avoid using chemicals to clean and kill in the garden.  Try not to feed chemically produced foods.  Our animals are showing us the signs.

Homeopathy is all natural and when it comes to restoring and maintaining good health, I don’t think it can be surpassed.

For long term deep health issues, a series of healing plans is the way to go.

However for general aging issues there are remedies you can use at home to make life much nicer for your animal friends.

Below are some examples of how we can help you.  Feel free to drop us an email and we can guide you with the best remedies to help you.

Arthritis, slowing of mobility – Arthritis Relief

Urinary Tract Infections, Bladder Infections, Cystitis

Grief and sadness from loss of family member

Weight loss

Uptaking of nutrients

General wellbeing

From the Beginners Kit – Accidents, falls, bruising, infections, nerve damage, vomiting, poisoning, fever, swollen joints, heat stroke, bites, abscesses.

Our animals give us love, support and strength and it is wonderful to be able to help them in their golden years.

We look forward to helping you in the near future.

Natural Solutions for Allergies and Itchy Skin for Horses

As horse owners we are constantly being bombarded with all sorts of different medications/chemicals for our horses to heal them or maintain their good health. When it comes to allergies and dream-photoitching in our horses the chemical solutions are very toxic and in most cases don’t provide a long term solution. The biggest problem is how we view allergies and itch.  As a society we have been trained to believe that itches, rashes and allergic reactions are bad and need to be made go away quickly. In fact the allergic symptoms and the itch are signs of dis-ease in the body. To lift the external symptoms we need to heal internal unbalance.

With Allergies we usually find that the body is overloaded with toxins and then any extra load such as mosquito bites, extra chemicals, seasonal grasses, just tip them over and they result in allergy symptoms. It is not that the horse is allergic that insect, chemical or grass.

Itchy skin in horses, eg. QLD Itch is most often toxins releasing through the skin. The toxins are usually acid causing the skin to itch, the horse scratches creating damaged skin, mites may come and live in the skin and whether they do or not chemical is bought to treat the skin/mites which means more toxins, creating a vicious cycle which is hard to break.

The release through the skin is a natural healing process for the body, much better than storing the toxins in the organs which will cause great internal damage.

Let’s face it, our world is toxic and even if you don’t treat your horses with chemicals, there are still toxins all around us – in the feed, the air, in the runoff from the neighbours paddock, etc.

Detoxing is the first step in clearing up your horses allergies, then a natural product to lift out the mites and heal the skin. Homeopathy can offer a quick natural solution to get your horses allergies under control.

The most suitable of the Heal with Ease kits for this purpose is our Itchy Pet Kit.
